OverviewAnalog Devices ADF7030-1 Low-Power RF Transceivers deliver highly robust RF performance at very low power in a sub-GHz range. The fully integrated ADF7030-1 radio transceivers include a low intermediate frequency (IF) receiver that is highly configurable and supports a 2.6-738kHZ range of receiver channel bandwidths. This wide range of receiver channel bandwidths enables ADF7030-1 transceivers to support ultra-narrow, narrow, and wide band channel spacing. ADF7030-1's two independent PAs support output power ranges of -20dBm to 13dBm and -20dBm to 13dBm. The PA's automatic power ramp control limits spectral splatter. The transceiver's on-chip ARM� Cortex�-M0 processor provides radio control, radio calibration, and packet management. The Cortex-M0 eases the host processor's processing burden by integrating the lower layers of a typical communication protocol stack. The ADF7030-1 transceivers allow more reliable wireless radio connections with fewer retries and packet losses. The devices also enable longer battery lifetimes.Low-Power OperationADF7030-1 Transceivers are designed for applications requiring a wide range, highly reliable network performance, and long battery life. Operating from a 2.2-3.6V power supply range, the ADF7030-1 transceivers exhibit very low power consumption in Tx and Rx modes. The ultra-low power sleep mode uses a typical 10nA current and retains the configuration memory. After wake-up, the devices operate autonomously. The autonomous operation allows packet sniffing, carrier sense, and packet reception when the host processor is in sleep mode. This autonomous operation reduces overall system current consumption. ApplicationsADF7030-1 Transceivers are ideal for applications operating in the ISM, SRD, and licensed frequency bands at 169.4-169.6MHz, 426-470MHz, and 863-960MHz. ADF7030-1 offers extensive support for standards-based protocols, such as IEEE802.15.4g while providing the flexibility to support a vast range of proprietary protocols.
