The MAX31888 is a 1-Wire high precision, low powerdigital temperature sensor with ±0.25ºC accuracy from-20ºC to +105ºC for precision temperature monitoring. TheMAX31888 operates at 68μA operating current duringmeasurement and has 16-bit resolution (0.005ºC).The sensor communicates with a microcontroller over a1-Wire® bus that requires only one data line (and a groundreference) for communication. In addition, the sensor canderive power directly from the data line through “parasitepower”, eliminating the need for an external power supply. Each MAX31888 has its own unique 64-bit registrationnumber that is factory programmed into the chip. Thisunique 64-bit registration number acts as the node ad-dress in the case of a multi-drop 1-Wire® network. In mul-ti-drop networks, optional GPIO pins can be used as ad-dress bits to identify each device's physical location. The MAX31888 is available in a 6-pin uDFN package. Thepower supply voltage range is from 1.7V to 3.6V for ex-ternal power supplies. The operating temperature range isfrom -40°C to +125°C.
