LM5069MM-2/NOPB General Description

The LM5069 positive hot swap controller provides intelligentcontrol of the power supply connections during insertion andremoval of circuit cards from a live system backplane or other"hot" power sources. The LM5069 provides in-rush currentcontrol to limit system voltage droop and transients. The cur-rent limit and power dissipation in the external series pass N-Channel MOSFET are programmable, ensuring operationwithin the Safe Operating Area (SOA). The POWER GOODoutput indicates when the output voltage is within 1.25V of theinput voltage. The input under-voltage and over-voltage lock-out levels and hysteresis are programmable, as well as theinitial insertion delay time and fault detection time. TheLM5069-1 latches off after a fault detection, while theLM5069-2 automatically restarts at a fixed duty cycle.
