Used in conjunction withisolated power supplies, these devices prevent noisecurrents on a data bus or other circuits from enteringthe local ground, and interfering with or damagingsensitive circuitry.A binary input signalis conditioned, translated to abalanced signal, then differentiated by the capacitiveisolation barrier. Across the isolation barrier, adifferential comparator receives the logic transitioninformation,then sets or resets a flip-flop and theoutput circuit accordingly.
