The FT312D-32L1C-R is an USB Android Host IC, provides a bridge between peripheral hardware/systems and an Android platform with a USB device port. The IC will enumerate USB and Android Open Accessory and provide a UART interface for peripheral integration. The USB 2.0 full-speed host IC is specifically targeted at providing access to peripheral hardware from an Android platform with a USB device port. The device will bridge the USB port to a UART interface via the Android Open Accessory protocol. The FTDI's second dedicated Android Open Accessory Mode integrated circuit device or Android Host. The USB host port is dedicated to support of the Android Open Accessory class and will bridge data between this port and the UART interface.
